Indian Accounting Association Research Foundation is going to organize Tenth International Accounting Conference on Global Financial Melt-downand Recovery:Changing Paradigm of Accounting And Finance at Hotel Taj Bengal, Kolkata,on January 8 & 9, 2011 (Saturday & Sunday) in association with International
Association for Accounting Education and Research(IAAER), Deloitte & Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management(EIILM), Kolkata Department of Commerce, University of Calcutta.
Since its formation in 1989-90, the Foundation has been actively involved in promoting fundamental and applied research in accounting and allied subjects.
It has already sponsored Five successful research projects and published them. The first publication was, however, an Edited Research Volume,"Contemporary Issues in Accounting Research"
The Foundation’s bi-annual research journal, Indian Accounting Review (IAR), has earned international acclaim for its quality and timeliness in publication. Many accounting scholars of international repute, both from India and abroad, have contributed to this journal. Presently, IAR is being published in association with Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management(EIILM), Kolkata.
The Foundation has been granted the status of an Associate Body by the International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER) in recognition of the services it has rendered in the furtherance of accounting education and research.
The Foundation organizes from time to time Executive Development Programmes (EDP) for the benefit of persons doing managerial jobs in companies and other establishments. One such EDP was held in collaboration with Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta.
